How much Vinicius Jr would earn at Arsenal if the Gunners agree to match his crazy salary demands

Arsenal are eyeing a blockbuster deal to sign Vinicius Jr from Real Madrid.

When the Gunners won the Premier League title and fell just short of winning the Champions League, everyone expected them to go big in the summer transfer window.

The most high-profile move anyone expected was perhaps Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid, but Andrea Berta seems to be working on something even bigger.

Vinicius Jr would easily be Arsenal’s biggest signing ever, but he would demand massive wages as well.

Arsenal target Vinicius Jr’s salary demands

Real Madrid and Vinicius have been in discussions over a new contract for over a year now.

The Brazilian is already one of the best-paid players at the Santiago Bernabeu, and Los Blancos have been willing to move him to the top of the list.

According to The Athletic’s report in April, which was updated again on Saturday, Vinicius’ current net salary is in the region of €17 million (£14.5m) a year.

Real Madrid have offered to push that up to €20 million (£17.1m), which would take him past Kylian Mbappe to become the club’s highest earner.

However, the report claimed that Vinicius’ agents have demanded a package worth just under €30 million (£25.6m), which includes base salary, performance-related bonuses and a renewal bonus.

That is the reason why contract talks have not progressed, and Arsenal could suddenly have an opening to lure the Brazil star away.

At the very least, Vinicius is likely to demand the same figure from the Gunners to join them, where instead of a renewal bonus, he will probably ask for a signing-on fee.

When broken down, that means the Gunners will have to be prepared to pay him wages of around £493,000 every week if all the bonuses are triggered.

That’s way more than the new contract Bukayo Saka signed last season, worth over £300,000 a week.

What’s the maximum transfer fee and wages you would pay to sign Vinicius Jr for Arsenal?

Vinicius Jr is worth the big money

The last time Arsenal broke the bank for a player, it was Declan Rice, and he has proved to be one of the best signings in the club’s history.

Vinicius is one of the very best players in world football, is at the prime of his career, and would elevate the Gunners’ attack to a whole new level.

Even commercially, the Brazilian would boost Arsenal massively because of how big a star he is, so it’s only natural that he would demand massive wages.

The Gunners need to make a statement after winning the Premier League last season. There is no bigger one than signing Vinicius this summer.
