Arsenal took something of a leap when they decided to leave Highbury, moving into the Emirates Stadium in 2006.
With Arsene Wenger fresh from winning plenty of Premier League titles in his first few years at the club, which included The Invincibles, the move to a different stadium was daunting.
There were plenty of memories at Highbury, though the switch to the Emirates Stadium was there to usher in a new era.
For many years, it never quite felt like home for Arsenal as they struggled to return to the heights there.
Mikel Arteta has since done quite a job in transforming the atmosphere, though plenty has changed in the almost 20 years since the stadium opened.
New state-of-the-art stadiums are being built and the Gunners will need to be vigilant in keeping up with their rivals in the PSR era.
That includes Manchester United, who have new ambitious plans of building a unique-looking stadium for the future.

How Manchester United’s new stadium compares to The Emirates Stadium at Arsenal
While it has taken quite a few years, the Emirates Stadium finally feels like home for Arsenal while all of their rivals are playing catch up on moves elsewhere.
Manchester United are firmly in that bracket as their famous ground, Old Trafford, has been seen falling apart by the seams in recent years.
While plenty of talk surrounding regeneration work has been held, the Red Devils’ ownership has instead taken a different route.
The club announced that they will be building a new stadium with concept images and the like being shown off in a recent press release.
It’s a unique look for a stadium that is set to be a beacon of a new era for the club, though Arsenal know all too well that it is easier said than done to move into a new stadium.
So with that said, here’s a look at how they compare.
What capacity is the Emirates Stadium compared to the new Manchester United stadium?
As it stands, the current Emirates Stadium capacity is 60,704 fans, making it the fifth-largest in the Premier League.
Old Trafford is currently at a capacity of 74,197, though the new stadium is touted to be as big as 100,000 spectators in capacity.
That would make it almost 40,000 spectators bigger, which could bring in even more revenue each game.
How much did The Emirates Stadium cost compared to Manchester United’s new ground?
The Emirates Stadium cost in the region of £390million to build, with borrowing required to get the finances in place.
In comparison, Manchester United’s new stadium is touted to cost roughly £2billion, a huge expense in comparison.

Arsenal must keep up with stadium race in PSR era
One thing that clubs appear to have figured out is that stadiums are useful commodities that can drive revenue in the era of PSR in the Premier League.
While Arsenal had the advantage to some degree by opening the Emirates Stadium in 2006, times have changed since.
Rivals Tottenham are leading the way in that regard, having opened a new, higher capacity stadium with a twist.
There is an ability to turn it into an everyday revenue driver, hosting events such as concerts and meetings at the stadium.
Add to that a go-kart track underneath and more events around the area and it can drive revenue even higher.
With Arsenal yet to follow along those same lines, there may be a point where the Emirates Stadium needs a change of its own.
