Myles Lewis-Skelly finds himself the talk of the town again at Arsenal after an impressive last few weeks and eyes are now on whether he can make England’s World Cup squad.

Lewis-Skelly found himself involved with the Three Lions last year but after hardly playing this season for the Gunners, he’s fallen away.

However, a recent return to the starting XI and a place in midfield seems to have shot new life into the teenager and his performance against Atletico Madrid in midweek caught the eye of many.

Thomas Tuchel, of course, is someone who ‘MLS’ will want to be catching the eye of and there are some suggestions that has very much happened already.

Thomas Tuchel’s opinion on Myles Lewis-Skelly revealed

With Tuchel having so many options and the midfield in particular having a number of top players, it will be hard for Lewis-Skelly to force his way back in.

However, according to the Daily Mail, there is a chance Lewis-Skelly does indeed make the cut.

It’s claimed that Tuchel is a huge supporter of Lewis-Skelly. The German boss likes the Arsenal man a lot and his recent return to the first-team has indeed caught his eye.

Furthermore, Lewis-Skelly’s ability to play in multiple positions is also something Tuchel is keen on.

Last season, Lewis-Skelly was used predominantly as a left-back but his form in the middle of the park in recent weeks has been excellent.

With Declan Rice almost guaranteed to start for England, Lewis-Skelly’s emergence could give Tuchel the chance to pair a club duo together at international level.

With Rice expected to have one shirt in the middle of a midfield pairing, it means Lewis-Skelly is fighting for just one spot.

At the moment, there are suggestions that Elliott Anderson will be the man to partner Rice after his brilliant season with Nottingham Forest.

Beyond that, other players also come into the mix. Adam Wharton is well liked by everyone in the England set up, while young Kobbie Mainoo already has major tournament experience.

Jude Bellingham can also play deeper if needed, while Man City’s Nico O’Reilly can also step in if needed.

However, if Arsenal win the title and do well in the Champions League final, with Lewis-Skelly starring again, then his stock will be high.

As of right now, you have to say he stands an excellent chance of getting involved.
