Ian Wright believes Declan Rice’s verdict on England needing to be much braver in attack versus Ghana was spot on.
The Three Lions were held to a frustrating goalless draw with the Black Stars, who secured an impressive point in Boston.

Noni Madueke and Rice both started the game for England, but the Arsenal duo were left frustrated by Ghana’s resistance.
After the game, Rice spoke about how England could have done a better job in breaking the African side down, and Wright thinks he is spot on.
Ian Wright agrees with Declan Rice’s England vs Ghana verdict
Ian Wright and Declan Rice have both made it very clear that England needed to be braver in possession against Ghana.
Carlos Queiroz’s side did a number on England as their compact shape made it impossible for the Three Lions to break them down.
Rice insisted that England needed to do so much more with the ball and get it into different areas where they could have actually hurt Ghana.
After the draw with Ghana, Rice told the media: “It’s always difficult when you play against 11 behind the ball as deep as they were, but you have to find solutions.
“In the last 10 minutes, we were unlucky not to score. We still have a great chance to top the group against Panama. So positivity all around.
“They were very compact. 5-4-1, one off the ball and tight spaces to play through, but on the other hand, we can do more with the ball.

“You’ve got to give Ghana credit. Loads of top nations draw their first game, so there is no need to be downbeat or negative, we will be positive.”
Meanwhile, the Arsenal legend has urged England to take the draw, but learn from the disappointment in needing to be braver with some of their passing.
Speaking on Stick to Football, Wright said: “See, that’s what I said at the start. I think we just needed to try and pass the ball into places where we’re going to try and hurt them.
“If they’re good there and they tackle, they get the foot in. Brilliant. But we got to brave like the manager said, as Declan said there, so we’ll take the 0-0 and go again.”
After the match in the mix zone, Rice was spotted wearing heavy strapping on his left calf, which could be a real concern for England.
