Ian Wright gives four-word verdict on whether Arsenal can win the Premier League title

Ian Wright has now given a short verdict on whether he thinks Arsenal can win the Premier League title this season.

The Gunners responded from Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League defeat in fine fashion on Saturday with a 4-1 win against Newcastle United, extending Arsenal’s winning run in the league to six.

The north London side are playing some of the best football in the Premier League in recent weeks and look like genuine contenders for the title, with Arsenal only sat two points off leaders Liverpool.

And speaking on Wrighty’s House, Arsenal legend Wright has now predicted the Gunners to challenge, with the former striker saying when asked if the north London side can do it: “Of course we can.”

With Liverpool and Manchester City facing some tough teams in the coming weeks, now is the time for Arsenal to continue their winning form and to gain some significant ground on their two rivals in the table.

Indeed, the Gunners arguably have a better chance of winning the title this season given how much City have dropped off this season and with Arsenal hitting form at the right time of the year.

And the upcoming games will be crucial in how Arsenal’s Premier League season unfolds, with supporters now starting to regain hope that something historic could happen.

Arsenal’s form has been nothing short of brilliant in the Premier League since the mid-season break, and whilst the north London side won’t win every remaining game, there’s hope that this run can continue.

Returning players like Jurrien Timber, Gabriel Jesus and Takehiro Tomiyasu will also help Arsenal in their quest to bring the Premier League back to N5 for the first time in 20 years.

And belief within the squad that they can make history this season will be key to Arsenal continuing their winning run, with the Gunners firing on all cylinders and looking unstoppable at the moment.
