Trossard missed a penalty in the fixture and made little impact in the final third however, Gabriel Martinelli has predicted that the Belgian will be a problem for Liverpool.
“He [Trossard] could have scored the penalty, but we are behind him, supporting Leo,” Martinelli said to Amazon Prime Video after the win over Shakhtar.
“We know his quality, we fully trust him, we go again, I’m sure he’s going to play well in the next game.”
The Brazilian has a feeling that Trossard will seek redemption at the Emirates against Liverpool, which is something the visitors should be wary of.

Liverpool are more than aware of the threat that Trossard can provide, as the forward has scored more goals against the Reds than any other club in his domestic career.
Last season was no different for the Arsenal ace, who came on in the second half against Jurgen Klopp’s side and made an immediate impact.
The former Brighton star, who scored a hattrick at Anfield on match day nine of the 2022/23 campaign, was on target when Arsenal beat Liverpool last term in North London.
Trossard’s impressive solo goal abolished any anxiety in the Emirates on that day, giving the hosts a 3-1 lead to earn a crucial three points.
Martinelli certainly thinks his teammate can have a similar impact on Sunday afternoon, something that everyone associated with Arsenal will hope for.
