Inter Milan are ready to offer Pio Esposito a new contract until 2031 to fend off interest from Arsenal, according to Tuttosport.

Over the weekend, Arsenal officials were present for the Derby d’Italia between Juventus and Inter at the San Siro to watch the striker.

The Gunners being in attendance has sounded alarm bells at Inter, with Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio working to secure him to a new deal.

The North London club want to sign a young striker for next summer to partner Gyokeres, and Esposito is emerging as a leading candidate.

Inter are prepared to almost triple his current salary, and it will be intriguing to see how he responds to interest from the Premier League.

Inter Milan legend Adriano recently backed Esposito to be a success throughout his career and is hopeful he can continue to impress.
