Arsenal play their first game after the high of beating Real Madrid against Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners will be looking to tighten their grip on second place in the Premier League, while Mikel Arteta will be desperate to ensure his side isn’t dragged into the top-five race.

Victory in East Anglia would go some way in strengthening the North Londoners’ position in the Champions League qualification places.

Arsenal beat Real Madrid 2-1 in midweek at the Bernabeu, with the result setting up a mouth-watering European semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain.

Arsenal injury news and team updates

Gabriel is out for the season with a hamstring injury, and the Brazilian joins the likes of Takehiro Tomiyasu, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus on Arsenal’s long-term absentee list.

Arteta provided a fitness update in his press conference on Friday, revealing that both Jorginho and Riccardo Calafiori will miss the trip to Suffolk.

The pair of Italians are recovering from chest and knee issues respectively, with both players still hopeful of returning for the first leg against PSG.

Aside from these absences, Arteta should have a fully fit squad to select from.
