Manchester City star Jack Grealish has now responded to Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale on social media.
Whilst Arsenal and Manchester City remain rivals locked in a title race in the Premier League, Aaron Ramsdale and Jack Grealish have spent the last week as teammates on international duty with England.
Whilst their qualification campaign ended with a whimper, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by North Macedonia on Monday, the Three Lions have now secured their place at the upcoming EURO 2024 tournament.
Prior to returning to Arsenal, Ramsdale took to Instagram to celebrate England’s progress. The 25-year-old said, “what a week it’s been with the boys. Qualification done! Will miss the boys for a few months.”
Grealish replied to this post with a message of his own, saying, “Nahhhh what a guy man…the best.”
As the next international break is not set to take place until late March in 2024, it will be some time before the England men’s squad are all together again.
Ramsdale will be hoping that he is still in Gareth Southgate’s plans at that point, as his lack of game time at club level could easily see him slide down the pecking order in the national team setup. He certainly stands no chance of usurping Jordan Pickford as the England No.1 whilst he is playing a back up role at Arsenal.

Aaron Ramsdale must consider Arsenal future
The Gunners signed David Raya on a season-long loan deal from Brentford in the recent summer transfer window, and are expected to make his switch to the Emirates Stadium permanent for a fee of £27 million.
Raya made his debut for the Gunners against Everton in September and has kept his place in the regular starting XI ever since. Ramsdale, meanwhile, despite having been the Arsenal No. 1 for the last two seasons, has recently been restricted to appearances in the EFL Cup.
The four-cap England man will get a chance to strut his stuff in the Premier League once more this weekend, though. Arsenal are due to travel to Brentford on Saturday, and as a loanee Raya is ineligible to play against his parent club.
Ramsdale will be desperate to produce a strong performance and remind Mikel Arteta what he can do. It does seem, though, that the Spanish coach has firmly made up his mind about who his preferred option between the sticks now is.
Ramsdale has spoken out publicly about the hurt that losing his Arsenal starting berth has caused him. Ultimately, though, for the good of his career at club level and internationally, he may need to seriously consider seeking pastures new.
