Arsenal take on PSG in a massive Champions League semi-final second leg.

The Gunners trail 1-0 in the tie but have been boosted by the return of Thomas Partey to the side meaning Mikel Merino moves into the central striker role.

Jurrien Timber is also fit to start following his injury absence against Bournemouth in the Premier League, whilst Jorginho is part of the substitutes bench.

Arsenal have to silence the Paris crowd as Achraf Hakimi fired the Gunners a warning over the atmosphere but Mikel Arteta’s side are in relaxed mood ahead of the game – just ask Jack Wilshere.

Jack Wilshere reveals chat with Arsenal squad ahead of PSG clash

Speaking on TNT Sports pre match coverage of Arsenal’s trip to PSG, Wilshere revealed he had a chat with some of the Arsenal squad before the game and was taken aback by how relaxed they were.

Wilshere stated: “”They were happy, we were actually chatting a little bit around Norwich. But they seem really relaxed, really up for it.

“I know Jorginho is back in the squad and he’s a player that I think if the game goes the way we want, it could really help us at the end, maybe get some control in it and keep the ball.

“But nah they seem really relaxed and really up for it.”

Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly loved Wilshere as a player for the Gunners but he is now plying his trade in the managerial world as Norwich City’s interim manager.

Wilshere took charge following the sacking of Johannes Thorup at the end of April and defeated former team mate Aaron Ramsey 4-2 on the last day of the Championship season.

In his two games in charge of the Canaries, Wilshere’s side dug out a 0-0 draw at Middlesbrough before the victory over Cardiff.

Whether Wilshere is offered the job on a permanent basis remains to be seen but the experience over the last few weeks will hold his coaching career in good stead.
