Mikel Arteta has been at Arsenal since December 2019.

The Spaniard has done a remarkable job at the Emirates. He took over a terrible side and has turned them into one of the best teams in the world.

The decision-makers at Arsenal are all really happy with the way Arteta has transformed the club over the years, but there is external pressure.

Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara has now made an interesting claim.

Jamie O’Hara thinks Mikel Arteta could get sacked at Arsenal in 2026

The pressure on Mikel Arteta from the outside is massive every season.

The Spaniard often gets unfairly criticised by sections of the media, who completely ignore the good work he has done at the club.

Arsenal have finished as the runners-up in the Premier League in each of the last three seasons. Yes, winning the title would’ve been much better, but finishing second is not bad by any means.

However, O’Hara has claimed that Arteta has to win a big trophy in the upcoming campaign — if he doesn’t, he will be sacked.

He said on talkSPORT: “I think if Arsenal don’t win something this year, he’s gone.

“Yeah, come on, he is spending another £200 million. Come on, you’ve got to win something big, a major honour.”

David Ornstein has already revealed what will happen if Stan Kroenke sacks Mikel Arteta

Arteta will start this season, like he has done in each of the last three campaigns, with the aim to win it.

Arsenal are having a good summer transfer window, and there is no reason why the Gunners cannot go all the way in the Premier League this season.

However, if they fall short again, we still think Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke will back Arteta — he is one of the best managers in the world.

David Ornstein once revealed that ‘if Mikel Arteta was not the Arsenal manager, he would be snapped up within seconds by one of the biggest clubs’.

Arteta is that good — sacking him should not even be considered unless Arsenal have a disastrous season.
