Jan Age Fjortoft believes that Eberechi Eze is a ‘beautiful’ player to watch, and the Arsenal attacker demonstrated his quality against Wigan.
Eze has been having a tough time at Arsenal recently; however, he produced an impressive display in the FA Cup fourth round.
🤔 Should Eberechi Eze START for Arsenal against Wolves?
The 27-year-old produced two wonderful assists against the Latics as the Gunners ran riot by winning 4-0 at the Emirates Stadium.
Now, the former Premier League striker has been discussing Mikel Arteta’s team and highlighted Eze as a player he loves to watch.
Jan Age Fjortoft says Eberechi Eze is a ‘fantastic player to watch’
Jan Age Fjortoft has hit back at Eberechi Eze’s critics, claiming that the midfielder is a ‘fantastic player to watch’.
Eze is still adapting to life at Arsenal, but against Wigan, the former Crystal Palace star produced two assists in a rampant display by the Gunners.
Speaking on ESPN FC, Age Fjortoft claimed: “Absolutely, I admire beauty! You saw some great runs today from Arsenal’s offensive players, and Eze was the perfect man to take advantage of them.
“I think that this game again, they were talking about the fantastic stats of Arsenal Football Club in the cup competitions. 14 games, 13 of them were wins, and a draw against Crystal Palace, which they won on penalties.
“So they just show you, we’re talking about class players, I will say it like this, Arsenal is the best team in England this year.
What impressed you the MOST about Eberechi Eze’s performance against Wigan?
“I’m not sure they win the Premier League, but they are the best team, and there’s a lot of metrics of why, but they have a broad squad in which they can put people in, they can take people out.
“There are always new tools for Arsenal to use in those games. I think that the attitude of Arsenal today was brilliant. Eze is a fantastic player to watch.”
Hopefully, Eze’s two assists should give him the confidence to kick on in North London following his mixed start at the club.
Arsenal should start Eberechi Eze and Bukayo Saka against Wolves
Arteta should be starting both Eze and Bukayo Saka in midfield against Wolves, given how they unlocked Wigan with ease.
Saka really impressed in the number ten role during the FA Cup win, and against a low-block Wolves team, he could be the answer to unlocking them.
Eze and Saka worked so well as dual number tens, which has just handed Arteta a new tactic against teams who are tougher to break down.
