In order to continue their excellent form after the international break, Mikel Arteta and his Arsenal side now have to navigate a tricky away trip to West Ham United.
Arsenal face West Ham on Saturday evening, hoping to secure three points before they watch Liverpool and Manchester City square off at Anfield on Sunday.
The Gunners are currently one point behind Man City and nine behind Liverpool – they’ll perhaps be willing Pep Guardiola’s side to win for the first time in a long while.

Gary Neville has stuck by Arsenal’s title hopes, but otherwise very few now believe that Arsenal can bridge the gap, even with two thirds of the season still to go.
Jarrod Bowen explains why West Ham can beat Arsenal
That being said, when speaking on Sky Sports following West Ham’s win over Newcastle United on Monday, Jarrod Bowen sent a warning to Arsenal.
The England international, who the likes of Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice will know very well, said that Arsenal will be a ‘difficult’ test, but explained why the Hammers can win.

Bowen said: “I think that was more like the level of what it takes to play for this club. Desire, work rate from everyone. And then the quality shows, we’ve got top quality everywhere, the desire, the work rate.
“Like I said, the clean sheet away from home at Newcastle isn’t an easy thing and we’ve done that.
“It’s important we rest up, we have an important game on Saturday against Arsenal and I think I spoke and said before that we need to be consistently winning games on the bounce.
“This started tonight and now we go, Arsenal’s going to be a difficult game, we know that they’re a top, top side pushing for Premier League titles but we can take a lot from the game here tonight.
“We’re at home, we can use that to our advantage with our fans and put in another performance.”
What is Arsenal’s head-to-head record against West Ham?
During Arteta’s time in charge, Arsenal have faced West Ham on 10 occasions in all competitions.
Arteta labelled the defeat to West Ham last season at the Emirates Stadium as the most ‘frustrating night’ of his career to date, a 2-0 defeat which helped City to the title.
All in all, against West Ham, Arteta’s side have won six of their 10 meetings, including a 6-0 away win back in February of this year.
Arsenal were in rampant form at the time, and the Hammers were becoming very disillusioned under David Moyes.
Otherwise, in the 10 games mentioned, Arsenal have also drawn and lost twice, with the other defeat coming back in 2023 in the EFL Cup fourth round.
