Max Dowman continues to attract attention despite being just 16 years old.

The Arsenal youngster has been one of the most talked-about talents in England, and many believe he has a massive future ahead of him.

There was surprise when Thomas Tuchel did not include him in the Three Lions squad for the March international break. John Terry was one of those who were disappointed with that decision.

Now, the Chelsea legend has shared his final verdict on whether Dowman will make the England World Cup squad. The answer is yes!

John Terry backs Max Dowman to make England World Cup squad ahead of Noni Madueke

Terry recently uploaded a video where he was asked to judge whether certain players would make the England World Cup squad.

He made a number of calls, including saying that Arsenal winger Noni Madueke will be left out despite being called up regularly over the last year.

However, when it came to Dowman, Terry had no doubts. “Yes,” he said without any hesitation when asked on TikTok if the 16-year-old would make the squad.

That is a big statement, especially considering the level of competition in England’s attack.

The likes of Phil Foden, Morgan Rogers, Cole Palmer and Jude Bellingham are all present in the attacking midfield role, while Bukayo Saka, Jarrod Bowen and Madueke are hoping to play on the right.

That just shows how highly Terry rates Dowman, even though he is just 16 years old and hasn’t even played 10 senior games in his career yet.

It now remains to be seen if Tuchel will listen to the Chelsea icon when he makes his decision.

Max Dowman is doing everything he can to prove John Terry right

Dowman didn’t get a senior England call-up during the international break, but he responded in the best possible way.

The Arsenal Academy star was called up to the England U19s squad for their games against Serbia, Poland and Portugal.

In the third of those games, Dowman scored once and assisted twice in a 6-0 win for the Young Lions. He was undoubtedly the best player on the pitch.

That display will only strengthen the case for his inclusion in future squads.

To do what he has done at 16 years of age is remarkable, and he showed in Arsenal’s win against Everton that he can compete with the big boys too.

If Dowman continues like this, it will become harder and harder for Tuchel to ignore him. Terry’s prediction may seem bold now, but it could come true this summer.
