John Terry knows a thing or two about facing Arsenal over his career and he’s highlighted why Bukayo Saka is the Gunners’ main threat this weekend.

Terry will be looking on closely as Chelsea look to derail Arsenal’s title challenge by taking points off them this weekend.

Indeed, according to the former Chelsea skipper, it is going to be down to Marc Cucurella’s battle with Bukayo Saka that makes the difference.

If Bukayo Saka isn’t the key to beating Chelsea, then who is?

John Terry explains why Bukayo Saka is so dangerous for Arsenal

Like others in this Arsenal team this season, Saka has come in for some unnecessary criticism at times.

However, he is very much a match-winner for the Gunners when he’s on it and according to Terry, Chelsea have simply got to deal with him.

“Starting with Saka, I think Saka, he’s Arsenal’s biggest threat and a really dangerous player for them, and someone I really like watching. But Marc Cucurella, he’s always really aggressive and does a fantastic job against him individually as well,” Terry explained on TikTok.

“But with Saka being able to go both ways down the outside, he then drives and gets his body underneath the ball and gets in dangerous areas in and around the box. He’s also able to come inside, and if he does that, I think it’s really important for Caicedo to come across because Saka does like to then get his shots off into that far corner there as well.

“But it’s a tough day for Marc, he always deals with him really, really well.”

Bukayo Saka’s record for Arsenal against Chelsea

Terry is right to point out Saka here as Arsenal’s threat and the stats back up how good he’s been against the Blues down the years.

This will be Saka’s 15th appearance against Chelsea and he’s looking for what would be a 10th win.

In fact, Saka has only been on the losing side twice and in those games through the years, he’s had a big impact.

Saka has scored three and set up another four in those 14 appearances and it was only this season where he provided the game-winning assist to help Arsenal score the only goal of the game.

With Saka clearly looking for a strong end to his season, producing his best against Chelsea is the perfect way for him to get going.

Ultimately, he can be the difference and as Terry states here, he might well take two Chelsea players out of the game.
