Arsenal stars Jorginho and Aaron Ramsdale are two highly professional players within the squad, and they are now passing on their wisdom to some of the talent in the academy.
The Hale End academy is renowned for the talent it has produced for Arsenal over the years, with current players Bukayo Saka, Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith Rowe making the jump from youth to first-team within the club.
There is a lot of integration between the first-team and academy sides in general, as some young talents are often invited to train alongside the senior stars, which has been praised by Charles Sagoe Jr.
Ramsdale and Jorginho have now taken an extra step, as they were spotted coaching academy players in training yesterday.
Ramsdale and Jorginho were coaching Arsenal youth sides
Arsenal youth expert Jeorge Bird has now revealed that the pair were coaching an Arsenal under-14s side.
“Jorginho and Aaron Ramsdale coached Arsenal U14s during a training session at Hale End yesterday,” he posted on X.
Both players may not even be at Arsenal beyond the end of the season, with Ramsdale looking likely to depart after losing his place as the number one goalkeeper, and Jorginho’s contract set to expire, but Arsenal may yet trigger a one-year extension.
Which Arsenal players are interested in coaching?

Jorginho has been described as the most intelligent player Mikel Arteta has worked with, and it seems likely that the veteran midfielder could end up going into coaching when he retires from playing.
Ramsdale’s interest in coaching comes as something of a surprise, but it is encouraging to see him getting actively involved with the academy sides.
Mohamed Elneny and Cedric Soares have also taken part in coaching at times, with both players working towards earning their badges.
Arsenal have several former players within their coaching setup, with Jack Wilshere managing the under-18s, Mikel Arteta managing the first team, and Edu Gaspar and Per Mertesacker in hierarchal roles.
Freddie Ljungberg and Thierry Henry have also both held coaching roles within the club, whilst Cesc Fabregas was also spotted at the training ground as he attempts to complete his badges.
The current squad taking part in academy training as coaches can only be a good thing. The young stars can learn from players who successfully made it to the top, and the players themselves will help themselves in any potential future coaching career they may pursue.
