Although he’s flying at Arsenal under Mikel Arteta right now, that hasn’t always been the case for Kai Havertz since he joined.
Havertz has proved a polarising figure in North London, some believed in his talent and showed patience, whereas others couldn’t see the bigger picture.

In fact, Havertz’s treatment from Arsenal fans early on felt similar to how Mesut Ozil was perceived towards the end of his time with the club.
A lot of fans and pundits either didn’t understand the German’s skill set, or didn’t see how it fit the club.
That being said, Kai Havertz has now made the number eight position his own following an excellent month and a half.
And speaking to Sky Sports, Havertz revealed how Mikel Arteta was helping him through the troubles.
He said: “It was made clear to me from the beginning that everyone would give me the time to fit in well.
“And that just made me feel good. And even after two or three bad games, the coach came to me and said: ‘Hey, everything is fine, soon something will click and then it will happen.’ And then the moment came.”
Kai Havertz says Mikel Arteta remained very patient with him during Arsenal troubles
Of course, huge credit does have to be given to Mikel Arteta.
Despite the pressure and questions, the Spaniard doesn’t listen to noise and often stays firm on his beliefs.

Arteta wasn’t simply going to drop his new signing so early in his career, he clearly believed in his skill set.
And although things are rosy right now, there’s bound to be tough periods again for Havertz – every player experiences highs and lows.
But perhaps some fans will now be more willing to stick by their big summer signing, a player with big potential.
It’s almost hard to remember that Havertz is only 24-years-old as well, Arteta has a player who can still grow so much at Arsenal.
The German has already achieved so much at a young age and will hope that he can soon decorate his career with more silverware at Arsenal.
