Former Arsenal star Kolo Toure is now a part of Manchester City’s coaching staff.
The Ivorian spent over seven years as a Gunner and played a key part in the iconic Invincibles side back in 2003/04.
In 2009, Toure left Arsenal for Manchester City, and following his retirement in 2017 and jobs at Celtic and Leicester City, he joined Pep Guardiola’s backroom staff.
Now, the Arsenal legend has had his say on the Premier League title race.
Who do you see as Arsenal’s biggest threat in the Premier League title race?
Which team, if any, worries you the most in the Premier League title race? Let us know in the comments… 👀
Kolo Toure suggests Manchester City have an edge over Arsenal because of Pep Guardiola
Arsenal are the favourites to win the Premier League title, but Manchester City cannot be written off.
The Sky Blues are now just two points behind the Gunners, and their recent form has been very, very good, which is worrying if you are a fan of the Emirates Stadium club.
More than half of the season is still left to be played, so anything can happen. Arsenal just need to take it game by game and make sure they remain ahead.
However, Kolo Toure doesn’t seem too bothered about the Gunners. He feels the title race is completely down to Manchester City because of one reason: they have Guardiola as their manager.

He said in a press conference on Friday, as per the Metro: “We know the quality of Arsenal. They have a really strong squad, a fantastic manager.
“But it’s all down to us. We have the best manager in the world.
“He’s doing an incredible job every day. His passion for the game, he loves the players, he loves his staff, and we know he will take us as far as we can to winning the league.
“We just focus on what we can do, really, not on what Arsenal are doing. Every game is like a final for us.”
If you had to predict the Premier League top four right now, who makes the cut?
Arsenal have their own advantage against Manchester City in the title race
Guardiola has been there and done it on multiple occasions, so Toure’s confidence is definitely justified.
Arsenal should be worried about Manchester City breathing down their necks, but there is some reason for optimism too.
That’s because the Gunners have already faced Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea away from home, and a trip to Sunderland is also behind them.
City still have to face all of the above teams away from the Etihad, which will not be easy at all. There is a chance that they will drop points in a few of those games.
That could give Arsenal an advantage in the title race, but Arteta’s men will have to stop dropping points themselves in the Premier League.
