All eyes were on Lamine Yamal during the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals.

After Arsenal lost 1-0 to Paris Saint-Germain at the Emirates, fans tuned into the other semi-final, as Barcelona took on Inter Milan.

The two sides drew 3-3 in a spectacle in Catalonia, with everything on the line in the second leg at the San Siro.

If there’s anything the footballing world learned from the semi-final, it’s the quality that Lamine Yamal possesses, as the teenager lit up the first leg with a sublime goal and endless threat.

Lamine Yamal mentions Arsenal in conversation with Thierry Henry

Arsenal fans would have been watching on, both in fear and awe, as the 17-year-old dazzled when the stakes couldn’t have been higher.

After the game, Yamal spoke to the media, where, when talking to CBS, he caught up with Arsenal legend Thierry Henry

During the conversation, the Gunners came up, as Henry requested to swap shirts with Yamal.

As translated by host Kate Scott, Henry wanted to get Yamal’s shirt for his son, to which the winger agreed, on the condition that he received one of the Frenchman’s shirts in return.

“The Barca one is the one you want?” Henry asked, which prompted Yamal to mention Arsenal.

“Barca, Arsenal, whatever you want,” the teenager replied, opening the door to receiving one of Henry’s former Arsenal shirts.

The exchange was a heartwarming one between icons of the game, past and present, with Yamal’s mention of the Gunners exciting some fans.

Arsenal won’t want to face Yamal in the final

While the conversation between Yamal and Henry was endearing, the 17-year-old’s charm off the pitch does not divert from the threat he causes when in action.

Against Inter, the forward was simply unplayable, as comparisons to Lionel Messi were uttered.

Arsenal have a job to do in Paris before there can be any thought of the Champions League final, a clash that could see the Gunners come up against the best young player in the world.

With the nightmare of the 2006 final against Barcelona still fresh in the minds of many, the prospect of a repeat of the European final clash against the Catalan giants is daunting.

First, PSG must be conquered, and then, a thought towards the final can be had, as the four remaining teams wait to learn their fate.
