Arsenal’s Premier League season is finally over, with the Gunners now able to rest up over the summer before another busy campaign.

With another second-placed finish, Mikel Arteta will be keen to use the time off to recharge and go again next season.

The transfer window kicks off this weekend, with the Gunners looking to do some quick business under sporting director Andrea Berta.

So, with that said, here’s a look at the latest Arsenal news ahead of another busy day of action.

Mikel Arteta confirms four Arsenal transfer exits

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has confirmed that four players won’t be playing for the club next season, following his side’s final-day win over Southampton.

The Gunners are expecting plenty of changes over the summer, with a few incoming and outgoing transfers to come.

When asked about some of those playing their final matches, Arteta told the press: “Some of them, like Kieran [Tierney], they’ve been on this journey for six years with us.

“Jorginho, we’re trying to hug him, Neto and Raheem [Sterling] as well. So, there are a few players that I had the duty to say thank you to. I think we all have, and we wish them the best for the next season.”

Xabi Alonso drops a hint on Rodrygo’s transfer future

Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso has spoken out about the future of Rodrygo, amid links with a transfer to Arsenal.

The Brazilian is believed to be open to an exit, though that could change if Alonso manages to convince the winger to stay.

The new manager certainly hinted at his desire to keep Rodrygo when he said in his first Real Madrid press conference: “Rodrygo? He’s a fantastic player, and we will need him. I will talk to him soon.”

It remains to be seen whether those discussions could change things, with the Club World Cup coming up for Los Blancos.

Bukayo Saka’s message to Arsenal fans

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has sent a promise to fans at the end of the season, following another difficult campaign for the Gunners.

While there was the expectation of winning the Premier League title, the North London outfit missed out and finished second.

Discussing the season as a whole, Saka said on Instagram: “We all know the mission. We’re working towards achieving things this club hasn’t seen in a while. And our time will come…”

Supporters will certainly be hopeful that the next season will be Arsenal’s time to win some silverware.
