The Gunners have been locked in talks with the midfielder over a possible extension to his deal before it expires.

According to the Mirror, the last offer from Arsenal was made over one week ago, with Partey remaining cautious over signing a new deal.

It’s claimed that there is a concern that this contract will be his final big one, bringing up questions as to whether that should be with the Gunners or not.

Fabio Capello slams Arsenal star Riccardo Calafiori

Former England boss Fabio Capello has slammed Riccardo Calafiori for not being available for Italy’s recent World Cup qualifying matches.

The Azzurri recently fell to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Norway, coming as a huge blow to their campaign.

With Calafiori opting out due to injury, Capello questioned the Arsenal star, telling La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Just like I didn’t understand Calafiori.

“When it comes to the Azzurri, you must play even if you are not 100% fit, it’s a matter of responsibility.”

How Arsenal feel about Bukayo Saka and William Saliba deals

Arsenal are stepping up talks with Bukayo Saka and William Saliba over new contracts, with the Mirror claiming that “positive” dialogues have been held with both.

The report claims that the Gunners are currently relaxed over the duo, despite the fact that both stars are entering the final two years of their contract.
