Speaking to Marca about his transfer plans, Guler said: “Madrid gave me a plan and I still believe in it. I’m sure I’ll succeed at Madrid,

“I’ve even bought a house in Madrid. I work very hard and I’m always ready to play, as you could see in this match against Hungary.

“I love the Real Madrid fans and their support is a great value to me, I am very grateful to them. I came to Real Madrid to play and be an important part of this team. And I’m not going to stop fighting until I get it.”

Ethan Nwaneri praise after England U21s goal

Arsenal star Ethan Nwaneri came in for plenty of praise from Lee Carsley following his full debut for the England under-21s.

The youngster has previously featured at under-19s level for the Young Lions, taking the step up this international break.

After a short cameo in his first game, an impressive display in his first full match followed with a goal.

Manager Carsley said on Nwaneri: “It’s definitely a finish he’s got. Noni’s [Madueke] got the same finish where everyone knows exactly what’s going to happen, but you just cannot stop it.

“So you know he’s going to go, touch, finish, and he took his goal so well. He took his goal so well, but we have to keep remembering he’s 18, unbelievable, isn’t it?”
