After a disappointing draw with Brentford in the Premier League, attention very quickly turns towards the huge match in midweek.

Arsenal take on Real Madrid in the Champions League, taking a three-goal lead with them to the Bernabeu.

A place in the final four is up for grabs in one of the most important matches of the season for the Gunners.

So with that said, here’s a look at the biggest stories ahead of another busy day.

Kylian Mbappe nightmare before Arsenal clash

While Arsenal are preparing for their trip to Spain in anticipation of keeping hold of their three-goal lead, Real Madrid are hopeful of overturning the deficit.

Los Blancos head into it with a 1-0 win picked up in La Liga over the weekend, beating Alaves thanks to an Eduardo Camavinga strike, though there was a twist for Kylian Mbappe.

The Frenchman, who squandered some big chances against Arsenal, was looking to return to the scoresheet on Sunday.

He struggled and eventually saw red as he was sent off for a dangerous tackle, with VAR calling for a review on the incident.

It comes as a blow in preparations for the clash against the Gunners, though he will now be looking to make amends.

Jorginho and Thomas Partey injury update

There are fears over the fitness of Thomas Partey and Jorginho as the Arsenal duo picked up slight issues against Brentford.

The pair are facing a race against time to feature against Real Madrid, with journalist Charles Watts giving an update on them.

Speaking on YouTube about Partey, he said: “From my understanding, and it is very, very early days, mind you, so I’m always a little bit reluctant to go too strong on it.

“But my understanding initially is it’s precaution and there isn’t too much concern that it’s going to affect him playing against Real Madrid in midweek… My understanding of the very initial prognosis of why Thomas Partey went off is that he felt something a little bit worrying, and they didn’t want to take any chances, he didn’t want to take any chances.”

Meanwhile, on Jorginho, he added: “It looks a lot worse for Jorginho. He was struggling to breathe, and it was a really bad landing for him.”
