Arsenal ramp up Max Dowman contract plans

Arsenal are ramping up discussions with Max Dowman over a pre-professional contract that could see him commit to the club in the near future.

That’s according to Journalist Chris Wheatley in the Sporting News, who claims that it is “clear” that the Arsenal academy star wants to stay.

He revealed to L’Equipe: “It was shocking at the beginning [Amorim’s exit], it was in the middle of the season and we had games coming up.

“That never happened to me before. It was a surprise, but I totally understand his decision, and there are no hard feelings from the team.”

Arsenal’s Edu Gaspar disappointment

Edu Gaspar has officially begun his next challenge since leaving Arsenal, joining Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest.

Plenty has been said about the Brazilian’s time at the Emirates Stadium, with it being revealed just how disappointed the Gunners were by his exit.

Speaking on Sky Sports Transfer News, journalist Dharmesh Sheth revealed: “I think what disappointed Arsenal the most was losing Edu, not only as a sporting director, but as a person as well, because he was one of the nicest guys, if you speak to anybody at Arsenal.

“I think it was sadness on both counts that he was going. But look, football moves on, Edu’s moved on, Arsenal have moved on as have Forest.”
