Journalist Charles Watts has now provided an injury update on Arsenal duo Oleksandr Zinchenko and Thomas Partey.
Both Oleksandr Zinchenko and Thomas Partey could be set to feature for Arsenal against Sheffield United on Monday evening.
The Gunners will be desperate to keep their exceptional run of Premier League form going. Mikel Arteta’s side will be heavy favourites against the Blades, who currently find themselves rooted to the foot of the Premier League table, with just 13 points on the board.
Sheffield United have conceded 66 goals this season, significantly more than any other side in the division. At the other end of the scale, the Gunners have found the back of the net 62 times. Only Liverpool have been more prolific, with 63 strikes under their belt.
Arsenal have scored 25 goals in their last six Premier League outings, and will be licking their lips at the prospect of tearing into the Sheffield United defence.
However, Arteta will be taking measures to guard against complacency this week. He will also be expecting Arsenal to keep their remarkable defensive record going, too.
That being said, he will be hopeful that his side can take a commanding lead at Bramall Lane, which will allow him to use his bench to rest some of his key players before the final whistle.
This could provide the Spanish coach with an opportunity to hand some minutes to some players who have recently been out of action due to injury. Both Partey and Zinchenko could get some vital game time against the Blades if everything goes to plan.

Thomas Partey and Oleksandr Zinchenko could be ready to face Sheffield United
Charles Watts certainly expects Zinchenko and Partey to be available to play some sort of role on Monday. Speaking on his Inside Arsenal YouTube platform, the reporter said, “injury wise, things are looking pretty good for Arsenal…we’ll wait to see what happens in the next week when it comes to Thomas Partey and Oleksandr Zinchenko, but there’s a good chance they could be involved against Sheffield United.”
“Arsenal are taking things very, very carefully when it comes, certainly, to Thomas Partey…He has been training for a week. More than a week…You do need to start loading some minutes into his legs, because if you get it right for the sprint finish, and you can suddenly add Thomas Partey into the mix for that sprint finish, and he can stay fit for that final sort of ten games or so, then what a huge difference that’s going to make to Arsenal’s title charge.”
There is certainly an argument to be made, though, that neither the Ukrainian left-back nor the Ghanaian midfielder will walk back into the regular starting XI as soon as they are able to. Jorginho has been in excellent form of late in the middle of the park. Meanwhile, Jakub Kiwior has impressed as a stand-in left-back and has done nothing to deserve being dropped.
