This felt like a bit of a defining game for Noni Madueke and he didn’t half deliver with Saka out.

“We have been fighting on all four fronts since the start of the season. It goes without saying that everyone is ready when called upon. Every few days you have to be ready to perform. It is about staying locked in and in the zone.”

Madueke helped himself to one official assist and could argue he has a case for a second. He did what Arsenal haven’t done too much this season as well, getting the ball in the box on five occasions to help his teammates.
Crucially too, Madueke also looked good on corners, something Arsenal have utilised all season.
In a nutshell, Madueke did his job and more at Elland Road and if Saka is out for any period of time, he simply has to grasp his chance with both hands.
