Mikel Arteta has done a fantastic job at Arsenal.

The Spaniard has been at the helm at the Emirates Stadium for a little over five years now. The club were in a mess when he first took charge, but they are challenging for huge trophies now thanks to him.

Arteta deserves a lot of praise for the work he has done, and most rational Arsenal fans are still fully behind him. Many are convinced he will bring big trophies back to the club.

There will, however, come a day when Arteta or Arsenal, or both, will decide to move on. The Gunners already have a manager on their list as a potential replacement for the Spaniard.

Arsenal add Simone Inzaghi to their list to replace Mikel Arteta one day

Simone Inzaghi is one of the best managers in the world.

The 48-year-old did a tremendous job at Lazio before taking over Inter Milan in the summer of 2021. In three full seasons there, he has won six trophies, including the Serie A title, and has made it into the final of the Champions League.

Inzaghi even secured a 1-0 victory over Arsenal in Europe’s elite club competition earlier this season.

Tuttosport in Italy have claimed that the Gunners ‘sent Inzaghi and his entourage appreciation for his work’ at Inter Milan.

The outlet further reveals that Arsenal have included Inzaghi in their shortlist of potential replacements for Arteta, even though the Spaniard is not expected to go anywhere anytime soon.

Arteta signed a new contract just a few months ago and that does not expire until the summer of 2027. We expect him to remain as the Gunners boss at least until then.

Once Arteta leaves, Inzaghi, who Thierry Henry thinks is a ‘genius’, would be a great option for the Gunners.

Three clubs are eyeing a move for Arteta

Irrespective of what some people on social media say, Arteta is one of the best managers in the world.

The work he has done at Arsenal is nothing short of incredible, and several top clubs rate the Arsenal boss very highly.

The report claims that both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have Arteta in their sights.

It has also been revealed that Manchester City view Arteta as a natural successor to Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium.

We’re sure every Arsenal fan would hate to see Arteta become Manchester City’s manager, but stranger things have happened in football over the years.
