One former Arsenal player has become the butt of Marcus Rashford’s joke at Barcelona.
Arsenal were linked to Rashford when it became clear that his future was not at Manchester United.
After a strong loan spell at Aston Villa, the England international then signed for Barcelona on loan, joining some of the world’s best in Catalonia.
Following being coached by ex-Arsenal boss Unai Emery, Rashford has become a teammate of former Gunner Wojciech Szczesny, who completed a surprise move to Barcelona in 2024.

Marcus Rashford laughs at how slow Wojciech Szczesny is
Szczesny was axed by Arsene Wenger for one of the most bizarre reasons in Arsenal’s history, as the goalkeeper was caught smoking a cigarette in the dressing room.
After flirting with retirement after leaving Juventus, the Poland international made a shock move to Barcelona, where he’s now crossed paths with Rashford.
Though Rashford is impressed with some of Arsenal’s talents, when it comes to the former Gunners shot-stopper, the Man United loanee couldn’t hide his true feelings.
In a TikTok for Collectibol, Rashford was asked to rank the Barcelona squad from fastest to slowest.
When Szczesny’s picture popped up, the Englishman laughed, stating that the 35-year-old is the ‘slowest’ in Hansi Flick’s side right now.
Arsenal have had some incredibly fast players over the years, but unsurprisingly, Szczesny wasn’t one of them.
Rashford’s start to life at Barcelona
Very few would’ve expected to see Rashford and Szczesny become teammates at Barcelona.
While the goalkeeper has been at the club for almost a year, Rashford only made the move in July, where he’s since faced fierce competition from two of the world’s best wingers.

Competing for game time with Raphinha and Lamine Yamal isn’t for the faint-hearted, but Rashford is up to the challenge, recording 162 minutes in La Liga so far.
Though the Manchester United loanee is yet to score, he claimed his first assist when Barcelona beat Valencia 6-0 most recently.
If an Arsenal fan had been told at the start of 2024 that Rashford and Szczesny would become part of the same squad at Barcelona, there’d be more laughs than what the winger shared over the ‘keeper’s pace.
