Martin Odegaard and Eberechi Eze have led tributes to Bukayo Saka following his new Arsenal contract, which was announced on Thursday afternoon.

Saka has signed a new £300k-per-week contract with Arsenal as the North London club makes him their highest-ever-paid player.

Arsenal have now announced Saka’s new deal, and it’s a great pick-me-up after what was a very frustrating evening at Molineux.

The Gunners released a brilliant tribute video of supporters, staff and players explaining what Saka means to them as a player.

Gabriel Martinelli and Jurrien Timber also joined the tributes, highlighting just how popular the 24-year-old has become at London Colney.

The Arsenal vice-captain has been part of Mikel Arteta’s project since the start and has been a huge player in helping the club get back to challenging for titles.

The Gunners’ players were asked what Saka means to them following the big news around his new deal.

Speaking to Arsenal, Odegaard said: “Special player for a special club.”

Meanwhile, Martinelli added: “I love him so much! Thank you, B!”

“A pure, pure soul,” Eze said in a short tribute to his friend and teammate.

Timber is clearly very close with the winger and said: “Bukayo just makes you feel like a brother, you know. You have to walk with Bukayo in the city to see how much he means to this club.”

Arsenal have now secured their core group of players down to new deals, with Declan Rice the next in line to commit his future to the Emirates Stadium.

Saka is confident that in the next few years, Arsenal will win major trophies and is backing himself to create history in North London.

Speaking to Arsenal.com, Saka said: “I believe the next few years are going to be the years that we get over the line, and we’re able to win trophies and make history for this club.”
