Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard was spotted limping heavily in the mixed zone after his side’s 1-1 draw against Brentford.

The Gunners dropped points at the Gtech Community Stadium on Thursday night, and their lead at the top of the Premier League table is now down to four points.

That could blow the title race wide open as Arsenal still have to face Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in April.

Dropped points are not the only issue for Mikel Arteta – injuries are piling up as well, and Odegaard is the latest player to get hurt.

Name Arsenal’s most disappointing player vs Brentford but you can’t say Eberechi Eze

Odegaard returned to the Arsenal matchday squad after missing the previous game due to injury.

The Gunners’ skipper replaced Eberechi Eze at half-time after his 1/10 display, and he immediately had an impact going forward.

Arsenal looked a lot better with Odegaard on the pitch early in the second half, and they deservedly took the lead.

However, just 10 minutes later, Keane Lewis-Potter equalised, and Odegaard hurt his knee while trying to stop the Brentford man from scoring.

Ryan Taylor revealed on X after the game: “Martin Odegaard limping heavily as he made his way through the mixed zone and back onto the Arsenal bus.”

Injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar had a look at the incident when the Norwegian hurt his knee, and said in his own X post: “Looked like a knock and was clearly limited after the play.

“If a knock, it will be a matter of swelling and pain management. If structural, it will depend on the full extent of the injury.”

Would you swap Arda Guler for Martin Odegaard?

Arsenal’s season could be over if Martin Odegaard’s injury is serious

Arsenal have had injuries all season, but it is getting worse now.

Mikel Merino is likely to miss the rest of the season after his foot surgery, while Kai Havertz is also ruled out for a few weeks due to a muscular issue.

Ethan Nwaneri is out on loan with no recall option, and Eze looks nothing like the player we all saw at Crystal Palace.

That just leaves Odegaard in the number 10 role for now, and if he is out injured for a period as well, Arsenal will be in deep trouble.

Hopefully, it’s just a knock and he will be back for the game against Wolves next week.
