The growing animosity between Arsenal and Liverpool is certainly making the Premier League title race more fascinating.
The Gunners sit seven points adrift of Liverpool with 14 games to play, meaning Mikel Arteta’s men have a mountain to climb.
However, Michael Oliver sent Arne Slot and Curtis Jones off for the Reds as they dropped points in dramatic fashion on Wednesday night against Everton.
The result has given Arsenal fans new-found hope, as their Merseyside counterparts went into meltdown online following the feisty encounter at Goodison Park.
This could lead to a change in momentum in the race for top-flight silverware, while the increasing resentment between the two sides is making for box office viewing.

Martin Odegaard says Virgil van Dijk is the ‘toughest player’ he’s played against
The Arsenal against Liverpool rivalry has been bubbling under the surface in recent years, but it appears to have reached its boiling point in the last few weeks.
Arsenal fans have been outraged by some of the refereeing decisions that have gone against them this season, which Liverpool supporters have swiftly dismissed.
However, the north-west outfit’s followers were frustrated by Oliver’s decisions against Everton, prompting calls of hypocrisy from the Gunners’ faithful.
In an honest honest interview with TNT Sports, Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard evidently didn’t read the room, claiming Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk is the toughest player he’s played against when quizzed on this.
While Van Dijk is undoubtedly one of the best defenders in world football and Odegaard’s response to the question fired at him is completely reasonable, Arsenal fans will inevitably be subtly frustrated with the answer.
Liverpool supporters will be quick to leverage this Odegaard quote to gloat about their imperious defender’s ability, adding more hostility to the conflict between the two clubs.
However, which fanbase gets the last laugh will be determined by the outcome of the title race.
Arsenal travel to Leicester this weekend to take on the Foxes, while Liverpool host Wolves at Anfield, in what will be another pivotal round of fixtures.

Martin Odegaard reveals his favourite goal and game for Arsenal
In an interesting reel from TNT Sports, Odegaard revealed a lot more than who the toughest player he’s played against is.
The Norwegian cited his exceptional goal against Tottenham in the North London Derby in January 2023 as his favourite goal in an Arsenal shirt.
Receiving the ball from Bukayo Saka on the edge of the box, the playmaker perfectly placed it beyond Hugo Lloris into the bottom corner to double the Gunners’ advantage.
Meanwhile, the former Real Madrid man also shed light on his favourite match as an Arsenal player.
Arsenal thrashed Manchester City 5-1 just two weeks ago, and Odegaard cited this game as his favourite.
The midfielder gave Arteta’s side the lead in the encounter, tucking home from a Kai Havertz square ball, before goals from the German, Thomas Partey, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri saw off the Champions.
