Micah Richards has named his five favourite Arsenal players of all time, and Patrick Vieira has not made the list.
It is no secret that the former Manchester City defender grew up supporting Arsenal. He has admitted that on plenty of occasions, and he still has a soft spot for us.
Arsenal have had a number of incredible players over the years. It would be really hard to name our top five of all time, but Richards has revealed his, and there is one big surprise on his list.
Former Arsenal captain and Invincible Vieira has been snubbed.

You can’t really talk about Arsenal legends without naming Patrick Vieira.
The Frenchman was one of the greatest midfielders the Premier League has ever seen. He had everything in his game, and he was a brilliant leader too. Many even feel Vieira was a better captain than Roy Keane.
The likes of Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Robert Pires and Sol Campbell were incredible for us in the Invincibles season, but we probably wouldn’t have achieved that feat without Vieira’s leadership.
On the Rest Is Football podcast, Micah Richards revealed his five favourite Arsenal players of all time, and we were surprised to see him leave out Vieira.
Richards said: “My favourites were Anelka, Thierry Henry, Ian Wright, Tony Adams and Dennis Bergkamp was in there as well. Talk about art!”
Speaking further on Bergkamp, he added: “Everyone talks about Cantona and he was magnificent but in terms of feel of the ball – remember the goal he scored against Newcastle, it’s the best goal in the Premier League I have ever seen.”
Patrick Vieira’s record at Arsenal is incredible
We can’t talk highly enough of Patrick Vieira, he was simply incredible.
The Frenchman, who joined us from AC Milan in 1996, spent nine years as a Gunner, and he was arguably the best midfielder in the Premier League in every one of those years.
Vieira played 405 times for Arsenal in all competitions and helped us add three Premier League titles, four FA Cups and also a Community Shield to our trophy cabinet.
He is one of the greatest ever, he would definitely get into our top-five list.
