Mikel Arteta hails Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli vs Club Brugge
Arteta has called both Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli ‘outstanding’ following their goals against Club Brugge in the Champions League.
The Spanish head coach is thrilled that he now has most of his attacking options back fit, with competition for places now fierce.
Speaking to TNT Sports, Arteta said: “The fact that we now have the attacking players back… I think both of them, Noni and Gabi, were outstanding today. The level of threat they gave, the two finishes are spectacular.”
Martinelli actually created Champions League history for the Gunners by becoming the club’s first player to score in five straight matches in the competition.

Who is Arsenal's best left winger when all fit: Martinelli, Trossard, Eze or Madueke? Let us know in the comments… 👀
Arteta now faces the tough dilemma of picking who to start at left wing between Madueke, Martinelli, and Eze.
Eze was poor at left wing against Aston Villa on the weekend; meanwhile, Trossard is out injured again after being forced off with an issue.
Moving forward, it will be so interesting to see which option Arteta picks for the bigger matches, with all four having staked their claim at some stage during the season.
Gabriel Jesus makes his Arsenal return against Club Brugge
One of the best moments from the match had to be Gabriel Jesus making his Arsenal return at the Jan Breydel Stadium.
Arteta was delighted to see the striker make his first appearance for the club in over 11 months.
“Then, as well, obviously, Gabi Jesus is back after 11 months, and this is a difficult journey that he’s been through with all of us, and to see him perform as well in the manner that he did, really, really positive,” added Arteta.
The Brazilian forward was given 28 minutes off the bench as he came on to replace Viktor Gyokeres.
It was another tough evening for the Swede, who has hardly made a strong case to be selected moving forward.
