Mikel Arteta spoke to the media ahead of Arsenal’s Champions League clash with Club Brugge.

Arsenal fans are desperate to see rotation on matchday six of the Champions League, with the trip to Bruges the perfect opportunity to do so.

Declan Rice missed out on training before the squad travelled, with William Saliba and Leandro Trossard also absent.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Arteta confirmed that the three players will not feature against Club Brugge.

“No, so Declan was ill. He was quite sick after the game already, and he hasn’t travelled. William is out.

“Leo too, he picked up another knock where he had the issue, I don’t expect it for long but he’s out.”

Arsenal receive Gabriel Jesus squad boost

There will be changes in the Arsenal squad on Wednesday night, one of whom is Gabriel Jesus.

Arsenal have full faith in Jesus to play a significant role this season, starting against Club Brugge.

The Gunners announced that Jesus has replaced the injured Max Dowman, who Arteta said will miss weeks, in the Champions League squad until the next round.

It’s a huge boost for Jesus and a boost for Arsenal, who have missed arguably their most dynamic player.
