Arsenal have one of the best squads in the world.

The Gunners have challenged for the Premier League title three seasons in a row, and after falling short in all of those campaigns, they signed eight new players in the summer to give themselves the best chance of success.

It’s not just the new signings who have helped improve Arsenal; the old players have played their part too. Many of them have looked incredible.

There is, however, one player who hasn’t played yet this season, but Arsenal still think he is a big asset – Gabriel Jesus.

This is what Gabriel Jesus can do at his best! Should Arsenal keep or sell?

Arsenal still have a role for Gabriel Jesus

Arsenal signed Jesus in a £45 million deal from Manchester City in the summer of 2022.

The Brazilian hit the ground running in the famous red and white and played a big part in helping the Gunners become title contenders in his debut season.

Jesus was one of the best players in Europe during his first few months at the club, but everything changed when he suffered an injury during the World Cup in Qatar.

The former Palmeiras star has had multiple fitness issues since then, the latest of which was the ACL injury he suffered in January this year. He hasn’t played a minute of competitive football since.

Jesus is back fit now and has been on the Arsenal bench in recent games. Fans don’t feel he has a future at the club, but the Gunners think he still has a role to play.

According to the Daily Mail, it is accepted that the Brazil international is behind Viktor Gyokeres, Kai Havertz and even Mikel Merino in some games in the pecking order.

However, Arsenal think Jesus can still contribute, especially in the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.

That’s because people within the club truly believe that Jesus ‘can do things on the ball in training that other Arsenal players can’t due to his amazing technical ability’.

Gabriel Jesus could help Arsenal win a trophy

Jesus will get most of his minutes in the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup this season.

The Gunners have made it into the quarter-finals of the League Cup and are scheduled to face Crystal Palace later this month.

Jesus will be licking his lips about facing the Eagles, because at the same stage of the competition last season, the Brazilian scored a stunning hat-trick against Palace.

Furthermore, Arsenal haven’t won the League Cup since 1993. Even Arsene Wenger never managed to get his hands on this trophy in his 22 years at the club.

We’re sure Arteta would love to win it this year, and Jesus could be the man to help Arsenal do that.
