Arsenal will travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea in a crucial Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon.

There is so much riding on this fixture for the Gunners, who have been in poor form recently and need to produce a response in West London.

Mikel Arteta’s future at Arsenal could depend on beating Chelsea, and defeat at Stamford Bridge would almost certainly spell the end of the club’s Premier League title ambitions this season.

Jurrien Timber has promised Arsenal fans that the team will bounce back against Chelsea, and it is certainly vital that the North London outfit rediscover their spark against their capital city rivals.

Martin Odegaard and Ethan Nwaneri impress Mikel Arteta

The return to fitness of Martin Odegaard, who made his first appearance since picking up an injury whilst on international duty in September as a late substitute against Inter Milan last time out, has provided a welcome boost.

Meanwhile, Ethan Nwaneri has provided a rare spark of excitement this season, as the 17-year-old Hale End academy graduate has taken huge strides forward to cement his place in the first team squad.

Arsenal fans are desperate to see more of Nwaneri in action. On top of that, Odegaard was sorely missed by Arsenal supporters during his absence.

As such, it will provide a much-needed lift to see them both impressing in training, as shown on the club’s official YouTube channel.

Odegaard took full part in the behind the scenes work to prepare for Sunday’s fixture, and Arteta could be heard shouting “good” as both the Norwegian playmaker and the talented teenager produced sharp touches during the filmed session.

Will Martin Odegaard or Ethan Nwaneri start vs Chelsea?

Despite the duo demonstrating both their fitness and quality behind the scenes, it is almost certain that the pair won’t start together at Stamford Bridge.

Nwaneri is still waiting for his first Premier League start. Despite Leandro Trossard struggling for Arsenal in recent weeks, the Belgian was still preferred by Arteta to cover for the injured Odegaard, with Nwaneri restricted to run outs from the bench.

However, Odegaard is expected to start for Arsenal against Chelsea, and if he can hit the ground running then the former Real Madrid man will cause huge problems for the Blues’ defence.
