Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has now made Real Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouameni his number one transfer target moving forward.
That’s according to Football Transfers who claim that Arsenal did already make an approach for Tchouameni in the summer.

The report claims that Mikel Arteta wants the 23-year-old to play as Arsenal’s pivot moving forward, allowing Declan Rice to flourish as a number eight.
Moreover, the information also insists that Thomas Partey is unlikely to sign a new deal at the club.
Therefore, if these reports are to be believed, there could be a lot of change at the Emirates in the near future.
And if Tchouameni’s name is headlining those changes under Arteta then Arsenal fans may be extremely excited.
The Arsenal boss seems convinced that Rice’s profile is most suited to the number eight position vacated by Granit Xhaka.
And the arrival of a young, elite defensive midfielder could really be the catalyst to Arteta’s project taking the next step.
Partey has proven himself to be in the elite category in the past, but he simply has too many injuries to be relied upon.
Arteta must think Tchouameni can take Arsenal to the next level
At a price that could gazump the £80m Real Madrid paid, the French international would represent a huge investment for Arsenal.
However, the club have proved that they were certainly not afraid to part with such a sum.

Kai Havertz cost £65m in the summer, and Declan Rice was deemed a no-brainer at £105m.
Arsenal are backing their manager and he’s given them every reason to do so.
The win against Sevilla in mid-week should be a good confidence boost for Arsenal after a disappointing performance against Chelsea last Saturday.
And one of the key differences between the performances seems to have been the inclusion of Takehiro Tomiyasu.
The defender was brilliant in Seville and fans are now calling for him not to be dropped on the weekend.
Nonetheless, it’ll certainly be interesting to see how Arsenal and Arteta’s reported interest in Tchouameni unfolds over the following months.
