Arsenal dropped yet more points in the Premier League as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Brentford.
Kieran Tierney thought he had opened the scoring in the first half before seeing his goal disallowed by the semi-automated offside technology for the first time at the Emirates Stadium.
Thomas Partey did find the break through on the hour mark as Declan Rice’s lung-bursting run set his team mate up to coolly finish past Brentford’s keeper Flekken.
However. the Gunners were unable to hold on as hesitant defending allowed Yoanne Wissa to pounce and snatch a point for the Bees.
Mikel Arteta explained Ben White’s absence before the game and during the match both Partey and Jorginho went off with suspected injuries, the manager has given an update.

Mikel Arteta provides latest Arsenal fitness update
Speaking at his post match press conference following Arsenal’s draw with Brentford, Arteta has provided an update on the condition of his squad.
Arteta stated: “We had an idea because we know certain players couldn’t finish the game. We didn’t expect the issue with Thomas and we had to take him out.”
When pressed further on the condition of Partey, the Gunners boss gave a worrying response for Arsenal fans.
Arteta explained: “Yeah he felt something so we didn’t want to take any risks.” It is now a waiting game to see the extent of the discomfort felt by the midfield star.
Jorginho went off holding his shoulder with minutes remaining of the game but no update has been provided on the Italian as of yet.

Losing Partey would be a real blow for the Gunners as he has had his most consistent season since arriving from Atletico Madrid.
Partey was excellent in the unfamiliar position of right back against Brentford and scored his fourth goal of the season with an emphatic finish.

The Ghanaian did his defensive duties well and kept a clean sheet whilst he was on the pitch before his injury withdrawal and perhaps that rocked the Arsenal back line.
He and all at the club will desperate for him to recover to face Real Madrid as his physical presence and composure on the ball will be key attributes in the midfield battle.
