Arsenal set Juventus a £25m asking price for Jakub Kiwior’s transfer
Arsenal have put a £25m price tag on Jakub Kiwior after rejecting approaches from Juventus and Inter Milan about a loan transfer. That is according to Gianluca Di Marzio, who notes the Gunners will only consider selling the 24-year-old and have no interest in a temporary move.
Inter Milan are unlikely to advance their pursuit unless Arsenal consider permitting Kiwior a loan transfer. But Juventus remain keen and could yet target a permanent move after hiring Thiago Motta as their new manager. Motta even often used Kiwior as a midfielder at Spezia.

Kiwior was regularly at the heart of Spezia’s midfield during the 2021/22 season with Motta in charge. The Pole has also proven his versatility with Arsenal after Mikel Arteta started the natural centre-half as their left-back for 10 of his 11 starts in the Premier League last season.

Mikel Arteta pulls a U-turn on Nico Williams’ transfer to Arsenal
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has pulled a U-turn and is now urging sporting director Edu to eye the transfer of Nico Williams. That is according to Dean Jones, who reports that the Spaniard is eager to welcome his compatriot to north London after overcoming his previous concerns.
Williams had put Arsenal off his transfer earlier in the window with the Athletic Bilbao star’s wage demands. But the 22-year-old convinced Arteta that the Gunners should persist with a move at Euro 2024 with his vital role in Spain reaching and then beating England in the final.
FC Barcelona remain the player’s preference but Arsenal are ready to target a transfer if the Blaugrana cannot afford Williams. Athletic are demanding his £50m release clause is met to sell Williams, who scored twice – including once in the final – and assisted one at Euro 2024.

Crystal Palace prepare a bid for Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe
Crystal Palace have decided to make Arsenal a bid for the transfer of Emile Smith Rowe after Fulham fell short. That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who reports that the Eagles want to test the Gunners’ resolve after seeing their London rivals reject the Cottagers’ opening offer.
Arsenal informed Fulham that the bid was insufficient to convince the Gunners to sell Smith Rowe earlier this week. So, Crystal Palace hope the door is open to strike a deal as manager Oliver Glasner really wants the 23-year-old at Selhurst Park for his first full season in charge.
Smith Rowe has faced an uncertain future at Arsenal this summer after Mikel Arteta seldom trusted him last season. The midfielder only featured in 13 of a potential 31 Premier League matches and started in just three. He further only appeared for 346 minutes for two assists.
