Martin Odegaard injury return update

Arsenal fans are desperately awaiting the return of Martin Odegaard, with the captain currently out of action through injury.

The midfielder missed out on a few months of play following an ankle issue that he picked up while away with Norway on international duty.

There is some hope that the playmaker will be back and bringing his quality to matches that has been desperately missing.

Fortunately, there was some good news from former player Martin Keown, who provided another update on Odegaard.

Speaking on TNT Sports, he said: “I’m told Odegaard will be back for Wednesday!”

It’s a huge boost for the Gunners as they prepare for action against Inter Milan in mid-week.

Mikel Arteta responds to Alexander Isak transfer question

Arsenal’s search for a striker over the past few transfer windows has been very clear, with the need for a clear centre-forward option.

One of those who has been linked with a switch is Newcastle’s Alexander Isak, with the Swedish forward impressing in the Premier League.

He was the main problem for the Gunners in their trip to the north-east over the weekend, with the 25-year-old scoring the only goal of the game.

That prompted a question for Mikel Arteta about signing Isak, with an answer keeping his cards close to his chest.

“I don’t know,” he responded when asked about landing the Swedish international. “I love my players and I wouldn’t change them for anybody else.”

Man City icon gives Arsenal some Premier League title advice

Manchester City icon Joe Hart has given Arsenal some advice when it comes to winning the Premier League title.

It came after the Gunners fell to defeat at the hands of Newcastle, becoming the side’s second loss of the campaign.

On top of that, it put Arteta three games without a win in the division, which will need to be turned around soon.

Speaking on the BBC’s Match of the Day, Hart said: “It’s the recovery, it’s everyone being on the same page, it’s about picking your moment.

“Can you all get a moment together, or is this week completely business? Managing your families at home.

“To win the Premier League, to win titles, you have to be all in, completely dedicated to what you’re doing.

“I’m not saying that the [Arsenal] players aren’t, but there’s going to be moments when they’re going to be questioned, they’re going to be tired, and there’s going to be questions asked. They need to step up, they need to unite and be together.”
