Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has given an update on the condition of Bukayo Saka following his side’s win over Ipswich Town.
It was the side’s first match without the winger, following on from Saka’s hamstring injury that he suffered against Crystal Palace.
The forward was replaced by Gabriel Martinelli on the right, while there are other options such as Ethan Nwaneri, Raheem Sterling or Gabriel Jesus.
While the Brazilian didn’t quite hit the heights against Ipswich, Leandro Trossard did on the left and combined to open the scoring.
With another win in the bag, it’s one game closer to Arsenal welcoming Bukayo Saka back into the team once again.

Mikel Arteta reveals Bukayo Saka surgery after Arsenal injury
Speaking after the win over Ipswich, Mikel Arteta gave a more in-depth injury update on Bukayo Saka and his condition.
With a torn hamstring, there was some suggestion that it could take two months for the star to return to action.
Unfortunately, it appears to be a longer lay-off, with confirmation that there will be further time on the sidelines following surgery.
Arteta told the press: “He had a procedure, everything went well but unfortunately he will be out for many, many weeks… I think it will be more than two months, I don’t know exactly how much longer.”
It comes as yet another huge blow to the side, who are already facing a long stint without their key man on the wing.
It suggests Arteta will have to find plenty of different ways to accommodate for the absence that will be in place.

When will Bukayo Saka be back from injury?
With Arteta suggesting it will be more than two months for Saka in terms of recovery, that could see him out of action until March.
Surgery will require plenty of time to heal, while a recovery plan of resting and icing the injury will be in place for the star.
Injury expert Doctor Rajpal Brar discussed the likely timeframe on social media, stating: “Update on Saka. With surgical intervention, looking at around 10 or so weeks if all goes to plan.”
With a title race on the cards, Arsenal will certainly be hoping it isn’t anything more than the planned absence going forward.
