Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been out injured since the end of October with a thigh injury but promising footage has emerged of him completing his comeback.
Thomas Partey played an integral role in Arsenal’s pursuit of the Premier League title last term, starring alongside Granit Xhaka in midfield, however, he’s been hampered by injury across the current campaign.
The 30-year-old has only made four appearances in the top flight with Mikel Arteta utilising a midfield trio of Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz.
Despite suffering a spell out of action, that hasn’t stopped clubs from chasing a deal for the Ghanian, who is garnering interest from Turkish giants Galatasaray.
Arteta has said previously that he has ‘no intention’ of selling him in January and therefore will have been pleased to him stepping up his recovery.

Video emerges of Thomas Partey working hard to return
The Gunners boss previously provided an update on Partey’s rehabilitation process, however, he did not make it clear whether he would be fit to face Liverpool in the FA Cup third-round clash at the start of 2024.
On Thursday, the footage was filmed by Partey’s PR and uploaded to X.
It shows him doing various exercises to prepare him for a return to action, presumably at the beginning of next year.
The Gunners are entering an important period of their campaign as they aim to go one better than their second-place finish last term after capitulating at the hands of Manchester City.
That said, Arsenal are currently in the market for a new midfielder with Aston Villa ace Douglas Luiz named as a “dream target”.
But given the club have a very limited budget, Edu Gaspar could look to cash in on some of their assets, and one of those on the chopping block could be Partey.
Should Arsenal cash in on Thomas Partey?
Partey has shown moments of brilliance in Arsenal’s midfield since making the £45 million switch to the Emirates Stadium in the summer of 2020.
However, he’s become an unreliable figure and missed long periods through injury which suggests it could be time to cash in.
At the age of 30, the Ghanaian is only going to continue to make a steady decline and given Arteta is building a team with the future in mind, Partey doesn’t fit into that particular philosophy.
With Declan Rice anchoring their midfield phenomenally and Jorginho as backup in that area, the former Atletico Madrid star has fallen down the pecking order.
There is no disputing that Partey is an excellent operator and has served Arsenal well in the past three and a half years, but if Arteta wants to invest in someone world-class, it’s time to think about selling their 6-foot-1 powerhouse.
