Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta faced the media ahead of Arsenal’s visit to the Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers tomorrow.

The Gunners are unbeaten in their last seven Premier League games, winning five and drawing twice. Arteta will be looking to extend that impressive run, but injuries are not doing him any favours.

The Arsenal boss confirmed today that Kieran Tierney and Bukayo Saka are yet to return to training. The former hasn’t featured in our last three games in all competitions, while the young Englishman missed the game against United on Saturday.

Arteta did not completely rule the duo out of the game, but he did claim that it will be very difficult for them to make it back in time.

He said, as per Arsenal.com: “We don’t know yet [if they’ll return].

“Today we’ve got a training session and they (Saka and Tierney) haven’t been able to train with us yet, so I think it will be really difficult for them. But I don’t know, we’re going to try to last-minute see how they are feeling.”

Massive blow for Arsenal

Saka and Tierney have arguably been Arsenal’s best players since we returned to winning ways on Boxing Day. The duo have played a massive part in our attack and without them, we look like we lack that cutting edge.

The schedule is getting tougher and tougher, and it’s taking its toll on the players. Saka and Tierney’s injury is a huge blow on its own, but that forces Cedric and probably Nicolas Pepe to start yet another game which puts them at risk of injuries.

Pepe and Cedric have both fared really well over the last few games, but it isn’t wise to overwork them. Sadly, Arteta might be left with no choice against Wolves tomorrow.
