Arsenal’s clash with Nottingham Forest at the Emirates will be a memorable occasion for Mikel Arteta.

The Spaniard will firstly be grateful that the international action is over for the year, with the November break closing 2024 duty.

Now, the focus is solely on domestic challenges, with Arsenal needing to kick on to close to gap between themselves and the summit.

Liverpool lead the Premier League table with a nine-point advantage over the Gunners at present, a gap that cannot be extended.

Mikel Arteta to break Arsenal history

Of course, the Gunners will want to take three points from Forest, however, the occasion will be celebratory regardless of the result.

This is because the match will represent Arteta’s 250th at the helm, which will subsequently see him break Arsenal history.

Arteta will become the most successful manager in the club’s record books at the 250-game milestone, with him currently on 146 wins from 249 games.

Such record puts him 10 ahead of Arsene Wenger at that stage of his Arsenal tenure, and 11 ahead of George Graham at the 250-game mark.

That means that regardless of whether the Gunners win against Forest, Arteta will be the most successful Arsenal boss after 250 games in charge.

It’s a tremendous achievement for the Spaniard, who had a rocky start to life in Noth London, recording back-to-back eighth-place finishes.

What is Arteta’s win percentage at Arsenal?

At this moment, Arteta’s 249 games have represented some real highs and some heartbreaking lows, as the Gunners came up short over the past two seasons in the title race.

That being said, the Spaniard’s project is alive and kicking, with the former midfielder having the backing of most to deliver more silverware to N5.

There are some things that Arteta will want to improve, one of which being his win percentages, with there work to be done particularly in the Champions League.

Arteta has won just 50% of his Champions League games in charge of Arsenal, a figure that is improved in the Premier League with a win rate of 59%.

The manager is most successful at present in the FA Cup, where he’s overseen the Gunners win 66.7% of their games in the tournament.

A record-breaking day awaits the boss at the Emirates, with a win desired to cap off a truly remarkable achievement.
