Morgan Rogers is going to cost a fortune this summer.
Arsenal are keen to sign the Aston Villa star, who has been one of the best players in the Premier League over the last year.
Reports have claimed that Rogers wants to join the Gunners this summer, but the stumbling block has been the transfer fee.
Aston Villa want a British record transfer fee to sell their star attacker.
🤔 PICK ONE: Would you rather Arsenal signed Bradley Barcola or Morgan Rogers this summer?
Arsenal target Morgan Rogers reacts to Aston Villa’s demands to sell him
Morgan Rogers signed a new contract at Aston Villa in November 2025, and that deal does not expire until the summer of 2031.
That puts Unai Emery’s side in an incredibly strong position in potential transfer negotiations, and it looks like they are going to use that advantage.
Aston Villa have demanded a whopping £130 million for Rogers, which is a crazy amount of money, irrespective of his talent and quality.
The Englishman himself has suggested that he doesn’t think he’s worth such a high fee, but he’s happy that he is viewed in such high regard.
Rogers said, as per Ed Aarons on X: “I’m not sure if I’m worth that!
“Of course, it’s nice to obviously hear that from people, but I don’t let outside noise dictate me. I’m just going to keep focused, keep being me.”
That is the perfect mentality to have.

Morgan Rogers is not worth £130m but Arsenal may still have to pay that fee
Rogers is Arsenal’s top target this summer.
The 23-year-old is already a very well-rounded player, and he has the potential to become one of the best players in world football.
That is why Aston Villa want a British record fee to sell him, even though he hasn’t done enough to warrant such a high fee.
However, that is how crazy the current market is in England, and the Premier League champions may have no choice but to pay a fee close to that if they really want him.
