Myles Lewis-Skelly is looking to build upon his impressive first season with Arsenal.
The Hale End star is about to complete his first full pre-season with Mikel Arteta’s first-team squad after breaking into the side halfway through last campaign.
Lewis-Skelly signed a new contract at the club in the summer and is looking forward to developing his game under the stewardship of the Spaniard.
His emergence at left back was one of the real bright spots of Arsenal’s campaign and the 18-year-old has just made history at the club.

Myles Lewis-Skelly nominated for best young player at Ballon d’Or
Lewis-Skelly has just followed in the footsteps of Bukayo Saka and Matteo Guendouzi as the only Arsenal players to be nominated for the best young player award at the Ballon d’Or.
The prestigious award celebrates the best young talent in world football and the 18-year-old has been nominated for 2025 alongside the likes of Lamine Yamal and Desire Doue.
It is reward for an excellent debut campaign at the Gunners, where Lewis-Skelly quickly established himself as one of the club’s most important players.
He caught the eye of the footballing world with his performances against Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter final and scored his first goal against Manchester City in the Premier League.
Lewis-Skelly’s confidence and lack of fear came out in his celebration that day where he famously hit back at Erling Haaland, who had previously asked the question ‘Who are you?’
The footballing world now knows the answer to that question and Lewis-Skelly will be desperate to further enhance his reputation this season.

Lewis-Skelly has quickly become a fan favourite at the Emirates Stadium and has already expressed his desire to become a club legend.
Speaking to the club upon signing his new contract, the 18-year-old explained that he wants to build a ‘legacy’ in North London
Lewis-Skelly stated: “I want a legacy, I want to win everything there is to win in the game. I want to win trophies on the biggest stages whilst being a person that’s always learning and stays grounded, which is so important.”
His focus will now be on getting ready for the Premier League opener at Old Trafford just over a week away.
The Gunners face Athletic Bilbao in their last pre-season friendly before facing Manchester United and Lewis-Skelly will want to help build some momentum before that vital match.
