Arsenal have endured a tough season on the pitch with injuries and suspension derailing their bid to win the Premier League title.
The Gunners haven’t won the Premier League since their ‘Invincible’ season in 2003-04 and Sol Campbell shared the top characters in that Arsenal team.
The one major bright spot this season has been the emergence into the first-team of Hale End duo Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly, both recently earning international call ups.
Nwaneri has been called up for England U21s whilst young defender Lewis-Skelly has been selected by Thomas Tuchel for the senior England side.

Myles Lewis-Skelly reveals bizarre incident involving England call-up
Speaking to the England Men’s football team’s official YouTube channel, Lewis-Skelly has revealed a bizarre incident surrounding his call-up to the national side.
Speaking with fellow Arsenal team mate Declan Rice, Lewis-Skelly revealed that he believed he was receiving a call from Tuchel only for it to be a food delivery driver – much to Rice’s amusement.
Lewis-Skelly stated: “So initially I was on the phone with my friend the day before the big announcement and this was the Thursday. I was on the phone with my friend then I got a call from a number and I was like ‘bro, I got to call you back, let me take this call’.
“So I hung up with my friend and I ‘clears throat’ put on my good voice and I’m getting ready then the person says ‘We got your food, it’s outside’. It’s Uber Eats for my mum.”
Rice then responded by saying: “So you were hoping it was a call-up and it wasn’t? ‘Laughs’ Did you have any conversation before that then?”
Lewis-Skelly did not have any previous conversation and then revealed he found out on Sky Sports that he had been chosen for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
Lewis-Skelly set to start left back for England in World Cup qualifiers
Given the lack of left backs in the England squad with injuries to the likes of Manchester United’s Luke Shaw and Newcastle’s Lewis Hall, Lewis-Skelly is set to start the game against Albania.
The 18-year-old joins the likes of Ashley Cole and Kenny Sansom to have represented both Arsenal and England in the left back area and will be hoping to impress his new boss Tuchel.

The academy graduate has become a regular under Mikel Arteta this season having made 26 appearances across all competitions and scored his first goal for the club against Manchester City in February.
With the World Cup on the horizon in the summer of 2026, Lewis-Skelly now has the chance to take his club form on to the international stage and stake his claim for a regular England place.
