Arsenal have been one of the most active clubs in this summer’s transfer window.
The Gunners, over the years, have been annoyingly slow in the market. Edu Gaspar liked to take his time to get deals over the line, and that was frustrating to watch.
Andrea Berta operates very differently from Edu, and that can be seen as Arsenal have already signed five new players this summer.
A sixth one – Viktor Gyokeres – has arrived in London to undergo his medical and complete his move to Arsenal in the coming days.
Myles Lewis-Skelly was buzzing with the Gyokeres news, but he is even more excited about another signing his club have made.
Myles Lewis-Skelly delivers verdict on new Arsenal signing Noni Madueke
Arsenal completed the signing of Noni Madueke from Chelsea earlier in July.
The England winger was not on many fans’ wish list, but Mikel Arteta personally pushed for a move to sign the 23-year-old.
Madueke has not travelled to Asia on Arsenal’s pre-season tour, but he is expected to join the group once they return to the capital next week.
Myles Lewis-Skelly is really excited to start playing with him.
The teenager told Arsenal.com: “Noni is my guy! We get on so well, and we are so similar.
“I’m really happy he’s joined us because even when I joined up with the national team, he made me feel so welcome. And so vice versa, when he came here, I made him feel welcome as well.
“He’s so direct, can play on the left or right wing. His qualities are going to help us out so much. I’m so excited to have him because he’s going to bring a lot to the team.”

Myles Lewis-Skelly and Noni Madueke could form an unlikely partnership at Arsenal
Lewis-Skelly is naturally a central midfielder, while Madueke’s preferred position is the right wing. However, both players will be given different roles more often than not next term.
The teenager will play as a left-back, and we think Madueke will start in front of him on the same flank on many occasions.
The two left-footers could thus form an unlikely partnership at Arsenal, and if their on-field relationship can be just as good as their connection off the pitch, they could cause some serious problems to the opponents.
It will be interesting to see how Madueke will fare at Arsenal once he joins up with the group.
