Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres both joined Arsenal in the summer.

The Gunners needed reinforcements in attack, and Andrea Berta spent in excess of £100 million on those two players.

Both Madueke and Gyokeres have had mixed seasons so far, but the criticism of the latter has been far higher because he was viewed as the final piece of the puzzle.

However, everyone at Arsenal rates the Swede very highly because of what they see from him at training every single day.

Will Viktor Gyokeres ever look this sharp in an Arsenal match? 👀

Noni Madueke says Viktor Gyokeres is ‘obsessed’ with scoring goals in Arsenal training

Viktor Gyokeres was brought to Arsenal to score goals.

The Sweden international was the most prolific striker in the world when he was at Sporting CP. Gyokeres scored 97 goals in 102 games and was absolutely unbelievable.

Arsenal fans knew that he wouldn’t be able to maintain such a record in the Premier League, but they hoped to see him do well.

However, Gyokeres has faced a lot of criticism for scoring just nine goals in 27 games. Everyone, including himself, wants more.

Mikel Arteta is not worried about Gyokeres, and it looks like Noni Madueke isn’t either because of how he is on the training ground.

In a video on ESPN, the former Chelsea man was asked to name the teammate who is most likely to count the goals they score in training.

Madueke named Gyokeres and said: “Bro, this guy is obsessed with scoring goals. He’s obsessed with scoring goals. For sure, it’s him.

“B (Bukayo Saka) would probably be a close second in terms of counting their goals. B would be a close second.”

Be honest. Do you think Bukayo Saka is the reason why Viktor Gyokeres has been struggling at Arsenal?

Goals will come for Viktor Gyokeres at Arsenal

Gyokeres had no pre-season in the summer, and that has contributed to his struggles at Arsenal.

Along with the pressure of scoring goals, the 27-year-old had no support because Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz were both out injured for months.

Gyokeres suffered an injury himself in the game against Burnley, and that affected him as well.

Now, the Swede looks fit, and after scoring against both Chelsea and Inter Milan, we think he will add a lot more to his tally in the coming games.

Arsenal fans will be hoping that the first of those will come against Manchester United at the Emirates on Sunday.
