Declan Rice’s brace and Gabriel Magalhaes’ first-half strike ensured that Mikel Arteta’s team took maximum points from what could have been an awkward fixture.

Madueke was asked about winning the Premier League title after the win on the South Coast, and the winger issued a rather defiant response.

Noni Madueke on Arsenal’s Premier League title aspirations

Noni Madueke has no qualms in admitting that Arsenal’s dressing room are discussing the possibility of winning the Premier League title.

The former Chelsea winger believes that the team must embrace the pressure of being top of the table, and right now, the Gunners are showing few signs of faltering.

When asked about what is being said in the Arsenal dressing room, Madueke told BeIN SPORTS: “We talk about it, for sure. You have to talk about it and embrace the pressure that comes with it.

Name your Arsenal Man of the Match vs Bournemouth but you can’t pick Declan Rice!

“We’re at the top for now; the others have to chase us. We have to keep up the momentum, win matches, and that’s what we’re going to try to do.”

Having done their job, all eyes at Arsenal will now be on Manchester City’s game against Chelsea, with the hope that the Blues can do them a favour.

Their London rivals have just sacked Enzo Maresca and are yet to replace him, meaning Under-21’s head coach, Calum McFarlane, is set to lead the team against Pep Guardiola’s side.

But regardless of the result, Arsenal don’t seem fazed by the pressure at this moment in time and Madueke seems to suggest they are thinking like champions.

Noni Madueke hails Gabriel Magalhaes’ latest Arsenal goal

Meanwhile, Madueke spoke about how impressed he was by Gabriel’s finish for his goal against Bournemouth.

The 24-year-old believes that he finished the move like a striker, just moments after Madueke had done excellent work to set him up.

Madueke added: “To be fair, all credit to him. He didn’t let that early slip phase him; it happens to everyone, especially at the highest level.

“So I was delighted that he finished it. He finished it like a striker. Really good for him.”
